That’s great, because we’re looking for authors!

Here at Golden Frog Press we will help you turn your manuscript into a beautiful, professionally produced book, available for sale online and through your local bookshops. We are currently accepting submissions from new and aspiring authors.

Who we are:

Golden Frog Press is a deliberately small independent book publisher, based in the UK. We specialise in just six areas: romantic fiction, crime fiction, and non-fiction biography, autobiography, business books and hobby books. If your book doesn’t fit into one of those six categories, then we’re sorry, we can’t help you. But if it does, then we’d love to have a conversation with you.

What should you do?

Simple!

Just send us the first three chapters of your proposed book, together with a one-page synopsis of the whole book. Your submission will be read and assessed, entirely free of charge, by one of our specialists in that type of book. You will hear back from us within six weeks, usually sooner – and we always respond to every submission. That’s a promise.

What next?

We will let you know if we think your book’s a runner, if it has the potential to find its place in the market. We don’t want to give you false hope – we only publish books we believe in.

Confirmation and a reader’s report

If our specialists confirm that they believe your book has potential, we will then offer to undertake a reading of the full manuscript and provide you with a detailed reader’s report.

Acceptance and publication

You know how to write your book – we know how to publish it for you so that it can reach the readers that you want in the way that you want it to. We will provide you with a properly edited and proofread book, professionally typeset and with its own bespoke cover design.

The success of any book depends on a host of factors – a lot of them beyond the control of either author or publisher. BUT there are a number of things within our control, which, if done well, can contribute substantially to your book reaching the readers you want to reach in the way you want to reach them – and that’s where Golden Frog Press comes in. Once we have accepted your manuscript for publication, we look after everything – from the initial editing, through proof reading and design right up to the finished product available online and to bookshops. Choose the right publishing package for you, and we’ll do the rest.

Submission Guidelines

To be considered for publication, please send us the first 3 chapters of your book, together with a synopsis of the book as a whole (not more than 400 words). You can send your submission to us as a word document or as a pdf. Please remember to provide details of your name and email address. We will get back to you within six weeks.

Romance

Reader's report

Before we can undertake to publish your book, we will need to read and assess the full manuscript. Once we have read your manuscript, we will provide you with a detailed reader’s report. The cost of this report is £300.00. If you go on to publish with us, that cost will be deducted from the price of the publishing package you choose.

Publishing Packages

The Golden Frog Good Publishing Package

Our entry level package – you will receive professional editing, typesetting, proofreading, a bespoke cover design and publishing worldwide on Amazon in both ebook and paperback formats.

Cost: £1,995.00

The Golden Frog Better Publishing Package

This comprises all the high-quality book production of our entry-level package, with the addition of your book being traditionally printed, with the ebook available on all major platforms. Plus you will also receive 300 copies of your book professionally printed and bound by our expert printer.

Cost: £3,995.00

The Golden Frog Best Publishing Package

For this package, you will receive all the elements of both of the other packages. And, the cherry on the top of this amazing offer, your book recorded by a professional voice artist and uploaded to Audible and Apple.

Cost: £5,995.00

Whichever publishing package you choose, your book will be available for traditional bookshops to order and stock. Staged payments are available by negotiation.
